Job Description
A leading consultancy client of mine are looking to hire a Senior Network Engineer, on an initial 3 month contract with a likely extension.
Rate: £350 - £375 per day (Inside IR35)
Remote: with occasional visits on-site in London (rare)
Clearance: Must be eligible for BPSS clearance
RTW: Must hold full rights to work in the UK without a sponsorship
Essential Skills and Experience
• Proven experience managing Windows Server (2016, 2022) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere and virtualised infrastructure management
• Ability to monitor, diagnose, and resolve server issues within defined service levels (SLAs)
• Experience in capacity and performance monitoring across large-scale server estates
• Familiarity with Dell Storage Arrays and NAS-based storage solutions
• Understanding of secure and resilient infrastructure design principles
• Track record of applying industry best practices for server estate optimisation and continuous improvement
Desirable Attributes
• Experience in technical recovery or remediation environments
• Ability to collaborate closely with internal teams and stakeholders
• Analytical skills to assess infrastructure health and identify improvements
• Comfortable operating in complex, high-volume virtualised environments (hundreds of servers)
No on site requirement except to attend meetings
