Digital Technology Architect and Service Delivery Manager

About the role:

The purpose of the role is to gain an understanding of MMG’s business and APAC operating assets needs and the range of technical solutions available, and within this context define and maintain a digital technology architecture, service delivery (covering analytics, ETL, Mobile applications, integration, APAC Datalake environment and Analytics management) and solutions that will meet current and future needs in an efficient, sustainable, agile, adaptable and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with site stakeholders, to establish and forecast site requirements, to manage service delivery of digital services.
• Lead a team of service providers in the delivery of digital services. Providing Governance in the delivery of digital services, inclusive of analytics, data, and digital projects.
• Provides Service Delivery Management for the APAC region for delivery of Analytics, ETL, integrations platform and associated digital services.
• Domain and solution architecture as it relates to enabling MMG’s digital business strategy and roadmap, engaging deeply with digital product and platform owners and business and technology leaders, SMEs and teams in the APAC and enterprise region.
• Contribute to the enterprise and APAC digital business vision and a practical roadmap, considering constraints and opportunities for innovation and appropriate management of risk.
• Provide technical leadership in the production of technical solution designs, high quality functional specifications and other technical/documentation as required.
• Engage with technology management and teams to ensure delivered systems align with the technology architectural strategy and principles relating to software integrity and reusability.
• Provide advice on digital initiatives including options, including their inherent risks, benefits, and value.
• Partner with the stakeholders in the APAC region to gain agreement and endorsement of recommendations and oversee the solution aspects of projects and the achievement of expected outcomes and assist with digital and innovation queries and deliver explanations.
• Manage contract support agreements, in relation to digital solutions, datalake framework maintenance and delivery of BAU activities.
• Provide vendor management to ensure performance in key digital service providers.
  

Skills and Capabilities:

• Strong understanding of developing and reviewing systems capability strategies (APAC), translating business requirements into effective processes, systems, data, and organisational improvements.
• Strong capability in analysing and redesigning business processes, identifying opportunities to leverage new technologies and automation.
• Ability to lead solution architecture design, provide technical guidance, and ensure solutions align with agreed standards, security requirements, and integration needs.
• Ability to monitor external trends to identify and assess emerging technologies and their business impact.
• Ability to foster innovation by identifying required capabilities, encouraging idea sharing, and supporting teams to learn from experimentation.
• Ability to manage suppliers to deliver against agreed KPIs and performance targets.
• Ability to lead and manage contractor teams delivering analytics and digital services.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, translating engagement strategies into clear actions and deliverables.
  

Knowledge:

• Business and technology disciplines including strategy, governance, software delivery.
• UI/UX design principles and DevOps processes.
• Working knowledge of the Azure analytics stack, Azure services, Power Bi and Databrick environment.
• Cloud and multi-cloud solutions and architecture.
• Emerging technology trends, and relevant business solution applications
  

Experience:

• 5-10 years’ experience deploying digital technology solutions.
• Enabling digital business strategy through technology in a heavy industry context.
• Emerging and evolving technologies including digital architectures and cloud.
• Communication skills with the ability to explain technology from the business / customer view.
• Execution of high impact, APAC, strategic programs or initiatives.
• Technical experience in developing architectures that enabled digital transformation within a business.
• Managing the risk of legacy technology environments, the strategy and architecture requirements that safely mitigate risk or migrate from that environment.
• Integrating enterprise functions, data and analytics into evolving business / customer experiences.
• Leading architecture for an increasingly digital centric business.
  

Education & Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline
• Technology (digital, cloud) accreditation/s
