This role provides a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of quantum-resilient cybersecurity solutions for federal systems. You will lead the engineering, implementation, and operationalization of post-quantum cryptography (PQC) initiatives, ensuring secure transitions from classical to quantum-safe encryption. Collaborating with cross-functional teams and government stakeholders, you will design, deploy, and manage PQC, PKI, and Automated Cryptographic Discovery and Inventory (ACDI) solutions, driving both technical excellence and strategic program outcomes. This position allows hands-on involvement in cutting-edge cryptographic research, solution architecture, compliance, and risk management, all in a fully remote, flexible environment. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong communication skills, operational leadership, and a proactive approach to advancing cybersecurity preparedness.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the engineering, implementation, and operationalization of PQC, PKI, and ACDI solutions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define, refine, and validate technical requirements for quantum-resilient encryption
  • Conduct post-implementation evaluations and document solution effectiveness, including integration with existing services
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, playbooks, checklists, and user guides
  • Provide ongoing operations and maintenance, including monitoring performance, patching, and upgrades
  • Support security compliance, risk management, and audit activities in alignment with federal cybersecurity mandates
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and technical advisor for PQC adoption, ACDI deployment, and cryptography modernization initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, technical, or program execution roles
  • CISSP certification or willingness to obtain within three months
  • Strong technical expertise in systems security engineering, PQC, PKI, and ACDI
  • Experience with risk management, RMF (NIST SP 800-53), and federal cybersecurity compliance
  • Ability to document and implement engineering standards, technical guidance, and operational procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with government stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams
  • Proactive mindset, detail-oriented, and capable of managing complex technical programs independently
