ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Senior hybrid Product Designer with strong illustrator skills. A high-performing creative and systems thinker who’s eager to question the status quo and propose bold, user-centered design solutions. You’ll join our small and passionate Product Design team committed to proving that Web3 isn’t just for the initiated.
In this role, you will shape intuitive, inclusive designs across web, mobile, print, and beyond. You’ll own and evolve our design system, produce standout illustrations and motion assets, and bring consistency to RootstockLabs’ digital and physical touchpoints. You’ll report directly to the Director of UX and Design and collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and Validate user pain points through research, prototyping, and iterative testing
- Use data and feedback to inform user-centered design decisions
- Translate insights and business needs into engaging and delightful, functional solutions
- Collaborate with and inspire mid-level and junior Product Designers to conceptualize and craft innovative, intuitive, inclusive, and user-centric designs across web, mobile, print, and more.
- Maintain high standards in visual design: typography, layout, composition, and hierarchy
- Deliver pixel-perfect designs aligned with our product strategy
- Build and manage a scalable design system for consistency across products
- Produce illustrations, micro-interactions, and motion design assets for digital experiences, events, and merchandise
- Conduct design QA and post-release evaluations
WHAT YOU BRING
- 7+ years of experience in product or visual design roles
- Expertise in user-centered design and prototyping across devices and screen sizes
- Proven ability to create and scale design systems
- Strong illustration and motion design portfolio
- Strategic thinking with a hands-on, iterative approach
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work autonomously across time zones
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
