VP of Platform Engineering
Location: Abu Dhabi (relocation package will be provided)
Salary: 50,000 - 60,000 AED per month (~ €165,000 per annum, tax free)
Our client is a high-growth SaaS cybersecurity scale-up entering a transformative phase with a focus on scaling and modernising their platform. They are hiring a VP of Platform Engineering to define and lead the company’s cross- and multi-cloud platform strategy, ensuring world-class infrastructure, developer experience, and observability capabilities.
This is a senior leadership role for a technically deep platform expert who can operate at both strategic and execution levels. You will oversee multiple technical teams, aligning infrastructure, developer experience, and observability to deliver a scalable, resilient, and efficient platform across the organisation.
Required Experience:
- Strong expertise in platform engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, and developer experience
- Proven experience building and leading cross-cloud or multi-cloud platforms at scale (AWS/GCP)
- Ability to manage and align multiple technical teams, including infrastructure, developer experience, and observability
- Strong people leadership capability, with a track record of leading, managing, and developing teams
- Demonstrated experience owning and delivering large-scale, product-focused platform strategies
- Relevant certifications such as AWS/GCP Architect, DASA, TOGAF9, CCSP or equivalent
- Experience within Fintech, Banking, Cybersecurity, or Fraud is beneficial but not essential
