We are recruiting for a financial services client who are looking for a Head of AI to establish an Applied Artificial Intelligence division for their office in Dubai.
This is a new position within the company, you will be tasked on both hands on delivery and building the team.
What the role looks like:
- Build an 18-month roadmap for data science & AI.
- Design and build data science & AI products, including custom agentic products/applications leveraging Enterprise LLM's and other tools.
- Support the investment data science team (public and private markets).
- Be able to advise on the right services, toolkits, resources in support of projects and products.
- Introduce an implementation plan for Responsible AI practices into the AI platform.
Experience needed:
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in applied data science or AI/ML delivery (within finance / investments is desired)
- 5+ years management experience
- Agentic AI experience
- Full investments life-cycle understanding
- Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models.
- Experience managing quant, data science, and AI third parties internally and externally.
- RAG Pipelines.
- Establishing and managing an Applied AI team.
- Knowledge of responsible AI practices.
- MSc or PhD in relevant STEM (desired).
