Employment: Full-Time, 6 Month Contract-To-Hire
Pay Range: $45 - $52 / Hourly
Job Description:
We are seeking a Backup & Legal Hold Platform Engineer to support and enhance enterprise data protection and legal hold services across cloud and on-premises environments. This role will focus on operating and improving the Commvault platform, supporting Microsoft 365 legal hold workflows, and contributing to the reliability and automation of backup services in AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments.
This is a contract-to-hire position intended for a mid-level engineer with strong technical fundamentals and the desire to grow into broader platform ownership and automation responsibilities.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery platforms (Commvault preferred)
- Exposure to Microsoft 365 backup, legal hold, or eDiscovery workflows
- Working knowledge of AWS and/or Azure fundamentals
- Experience supporting production systems and participating in on-call rotations
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and work independently
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code or automation tools
- Experience with object storage, encryption, or data immutability concepts
- Exposure to multi-region or hybrid cloud environments
