Job Description


Cloud Security Engineer (CASB / DLP)

6 month+ contract

100% remote

The Cybersecurity team designs, implements, and supports enterprise security technologies that protect cloud platforms, users, and data across the organization. This role focuses on cloud access security, data loss prevention, and vulnerability management within SaaS and cloud environments. The position operates in a fast paced environment that balances agility with regulatory and security framework requirements.


Candidates should have hands-on experience with CASB platforms, DLP controls, cloud security monitoring, and vulnerability management. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft cloud technologies and SaaS security controls is required.


Essential Functions

• Evaluate, implement, and support cloud security technologies

• Configure and manage CASB and DLP platforms to protect cloud applications and data

• Monitor security alerts, investigate incidents, and perform remediation activities

• Manage policies, configurations, and operational processes for assigned security tools

• Coordinate with vendors and service providers supporting cloud security platforms

• Support escalations, known issues, and out of cycle requests

• Assist with cloud security migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning efforts

• Perform risk analysis and support remediation from audits and assessments

• Develop and maintain operational documentation and procedures

• Collect, analyze, and present security metrics and findings to stakeholders

• Support disaster recovery planning and testing for cloud security solutions

• Provide training and guidance on cloud security tools and processes


Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with CASB platforms

• Experience with DLP technologies protecting cloud and SaaS environments

• Strong understanding of cloud security controls and identity-based access

• Experience securing Microsoft cloud platforms including Azure and Office 365

• Experience with vulnerability management in cloud environments

• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and remediate security issues

• Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams


Required Work Experience

• 4 or more years of related IT experience

• 2 or more years in cybersecurity

• 2 or more years supporting cloud or infrastructure environments


Required Education

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience


Required Certifications

• Relevant cybersecurity or technical certification required

• Certification must be obtained within six months if not already held

• Specific certification requirements defined by the hiring manager


Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Waterfall, Agile, Lean, or SAFe delivery methodologies
