Senior Data Scientist

A leading home improvement specialty retailer operating 2,300+ stores across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico is seeking a talented Sr. Data Scientist to drive business profitability and customer experience through advanced analytics. This is a hybrid role working 4 days/week onsite near Smyrna. Relocation assistance is available if needed.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. Qualified applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis.

Rate: $150k - $160k / yr. w2

Responsibilities

• Design and develop sophisticated algorithms and models using large datasets

• Create business insights through advanced analytical methodologies

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex business challenges

• Mentor junior data science team members

• Identify and leverage new business opportunities through data science

Experience Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in pricing analytics or optimization

• Strong understanding of prescriptive pricing and dealer discounting strategies

• Experience with operations research and optimization value space problems

• Strong Python programming skills

• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical insights to business leaders

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Google BigQuery, SQL

• Optimization tools (e.g., Gurobi)

• Tableau or similar data visualization software

Education Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or related field

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
