Job Title: Cloud Migration Engineer (Senior)

Location: Denver, CO

(Onsite 5 days/week during ramp-up, then hybrid – 4 days onsite/week)

Engagement: 6-Month Contract (with extensions)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Migration Engineer to lead and support large-scale cloud platform migrations. This role will focus on migrating infrastructure from legacy cloud environments to a modern, Kubernetes-based platform while implementing best practices in automation, security, and observability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead migration of cloud infrastructure from AWS to GCP, with a focus on GKE-based platforms
  • Refactor existing Terraform configurations into GCP-native, reusable modules
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for IaC and application deployments
  • Develop and maintain reusable Terraform and Helm modules with strong documentation
  • Collaborate closely with Application, Platform, Security, DRE, and FinOps teams
  • Ensure alignment with security, reliability, cost optimization, and observability standards

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (Infrastructure as Code)
  • Proven experience with GCP, especially GKE, Helm, and Argo CD
  • CI/CD expertise using GitHub Actions, including reusable workflows and OIDC integration
  • Experience with cloud security, IAM, secrets management
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry and New Relic
  • Experience working across multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills

Nice to Have

  • Programming experience with Python, Go, or C
  • Exposure to Kafka, Airflow, or Spark
  • Experience supporting data or streaming platforms
