Test Manager
Permanent | Sydney / Remote
My client is seeking a QA Manager with strong hands-on automation expertise to lead the quality strategy for a large-scale management platform. This is a blended leadership and technical role, responsible for managing a distributed QA team while owning the automation roadmap, whilst still remaining hands-on with the tools.
The Role
- Manage a distributed QA team (onshore/offshore).
- Take hands-on ownership of the automation test suite (Selenium with Java - migrating to Playwright).
- Define QA processes, standards, and deliverables for a complex platform covering operational and financial/accounting systems.
- Balance technical contribution with people management, ensuring best practice QA and strong team culture.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven background as a QA Manager / QA Lead with excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Deep technical experience in automation testing with Selenium and Playwright.
- Solid background in Java.
- Skilled in managing distributed teams and designing onshoring plans.
