The role

As a Senior Siebel Engineer, you own the stability, security, and performance of enterprise Siebel environments. You operate across DEV, TEST, and PROD, work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams, and ensure the platform runs reliably in a highly regulated setting.

You are trusted to make technical decisions, solve complex issues, and continuously improve the platform.

Key Responsibilities

  • You administer and support Siebel 22.x environments on Linux, including installation, configuration, server component management, capacity planning, and performance optimization. You ensure high availability through proactive monitoring, tuning, and structured maintenance across all environments.
  • You are responsible for patching, LCM activities, vulnerability fixes, upgrades, and executing repository and non-repository migrations from DEV to TEST to PROD, including Siebel Updates.
  • You manage security and integrations, including SSL certificate management, Siebel SSO, integrations with Azure Entra ID, and REST API integrations. You also maintain the file system and collaborate closely with network teams on firewall configurations and security compliance.
  • You design and maintain monitoring and automation, configuring Splunk dashboards and alerts, implementing monitoring with Zabbix and/or Grafana, and automating operational tasks using Unix/Linux shell scripting. You actively monitor server resources and resolve job and task failures.
  • You provide production support for Siebel applications, troubleshooting complex issues such as component crashes, communication handshake failures and performance bottlenecks.
  • You work closely with cross-functional teams and maintain clear, high-quality technical documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Siebel Engineer/Admin (medior/senior level)
  • Proven experience in the financial sector, preferably within a large banking environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong and proven Linux expertise (required)
  • Solid experience with Siebel 22.x, including administration, upgrades, patching, and LCM activities
  • Proven experience operating DEV, TEST, and PROD environments with full ownership
  • Background in security and integrations, including SSL certificates, Siebel SSO, and REST API integrations
  • Experience with monitoring and automation, such as Splunk, Zabbix and/or Grafana, and shell scripting
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, including production incidents
  • Experience working in highly regulated environments
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to work independently and take responsibility for critical systems
  • Excellent communication skills in English (minimum B2 level)
