Founding Software Engineer – AI Infrastructure | DeepTech | On-site London | £100,000 – £180,000 + Equity

Company Overview:

A well-funded, early-stage AI infrastructure startup is on a mission to remove one of the last major bottlenecks in the physical world. They’re building the core AI systems to power the next generation of real-world innovation.

Role:

They're looking for a high-ownership, deeply technical founding engineer to join their small, hands-on team. You'll ship fast, own features end-to-end, and help define both the product and the company from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

• Ship production-grade code from day one

• Own full-stack feature development across infra, tooling, and application layers

• Solve hard technical and operational problems, scaling infra, fine-tuning models, jumping on customer calls, or hiring the next teammate

• Write specs, take initiative, and push through ambiguity with minimal guidance

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience building and deploying real products

• Deep understanding of LLMs, multimodal models, agents, and tooling (e.g., LangChain, RAG, SFT/RL fine-tuning)

• Strong knowledge of infrastructure, including cloud platforms, containerization, relational/graph databases

• Track record of building quickly, independently, and to a high standard

• Bonus: Previous experience as a founder or early team member at a startup

• Salary: £100k – £180k depending on experience, with meaningful equity
