Location: Pakistan (Fully Remote)
Client: Middle East–based Startup

About The Role
We are hiring a highly skilled .NET Backend Developer to join a fast-growing Middle East startup. This is a fully remote role for candidates based in Pakistan. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with .NET 8, Clean Architecture, SQL Server, and modern authentication frameworks, along with exposure to AI integrations and cloud-native environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using .NET 8 and Clean Architecture / Onion Architecture
- Implement data access layers using Entity Framework Core (Code First) and manage migrations
- Write and optimize complex SQL Server queries, stored procedures, and database schemas
- Integrate and manage Auth0 for authentication and authorization
- Develop secure, scalable RESTful APIs following best practices
- Collaborate closely with frontend teams (Next.js) and cross-functional stakeholders
- Integrate external AI/ML services via APIs (good to have)
- Work with MCP Server (Model Context Protocol) where required
- Implement unit tests and integration tests for backend components
- Ensure backend security, performance optimization, and high availability
- Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve system reliability
- 5+ years of experience as a Backend .NET Developer
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET 6/7/8 (preferably .NET 8)
- Expertise in Entity Framework Core (Code First) and database migrations
- Strong command over SQL Server, T-SQL, indexing, and performance tuning
- Experience with Auth0 or similar identity/authentication providers
- Solid understanding of Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Proven experience building and maintaining REST APIs
- Experience with Azure services (Service Bus, Blob Storage)
- Next.js experience is mandatory
- Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile development
- Familiarity with MCP Server or willingness to learn
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- AI/ML API integrations
- Experience with ElevenLabs or other voice/AI agent integrations
- Startup or product-based development experience
