Senior E-commerce Developer (Shopify, Shopify Plus)

This role is focused on building and scaling advanced e-commerce solutions based on Shopify and Shopify Plus. You will be responsible for leading projects end-to-end - from initial scoping and system design through development, deployment, and monitoring.

You will work closely with product, design, and decision-makers, with real influence over technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards. This is a hands-on position for someone who values ownership, accountability, and the opportunity to build high-impact solutions at scale.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development of e-commerce solutions built on Shopify and Shopify Plus
• Design system architecture and infrastructure for new product initiatives
• Develop full-stack solutions with a strong focus on scalability and performance
• Define and maintain technical standards and engineering best practices
• Collaborate closely with product and design teams
• Own the full delivery lifecycle: ideation, design, development, build, release, and monitoring
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers
  
  

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript
• Solid experience with React on the frontend
• Backend experience with NestJS and/or Node.js
• Proven ability to design scalable APIs, implement authentication, and handle data efficiently
• Extensive, daily use of AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude) to accelerate development workflows, debug code, generate boilerplate, and improve engineering productivity
• High level of autonomy, ownership, and end-to-end responsibility
  
  

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with Shopify development (Themes, Apps, Liquid, Shopify Plus)
• Background in fast-paced, dynamic environments and greenfield projects
• Experience with MySQL (schema design, indexing, query optimization)
• Working knowledge of Redis for caching and performance optimization
• Solid understanding of AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, SQS, RDS, EventBridge)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly GitHub Actions
