Title: IT Audit/Controls Specialist
Location: FULLY remote!
Salary: $125k-$175k base + Full Benefits

We're hiring a versatile, security-minded IT GRC Specialist to join our Information Security Operations Center. This role will focus on auditing, identifying control gaps, and driving remediation efforts across our cloud and on-prem environments. You'll collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to ensure we meet regulatory and customer compliance expectations.
What you'll do:
- Lead internal audits and control testing across cloud and on-prem systems
- Identify gaps in security and compliance controls and recommend acceptable remediation strategies
- Support evidence collection and audit readiness for SOX, SOC 2, and other frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external auditors to ensure regulatory alignment
- Evaluate and improve security controls, documentation, and operational processes
- Assist in executing the IT compliance program for internal and customer-facing environments
- Contribute to continuous monitoring and compliance automation initiatives
What we're looking for:
- 5+ years in Cybersecurity, IT Governance, Risk Management, or Compliance
- Strong experience with internal audits, gap analysis, and remediation planning
- Familiarity with SOX, SOC 2, and frameworks like ISO 2700X, NIST, or ITIL
- Experience working with SaaS or software engineering teams
- CISA, CRISC, CGEIT, or similar certification (or in progress)
- Bonus: Exposure to export compliance (e.g., ITAR, EAR, DFARS)
