π We are looking for a skilled and motivated Middle/Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript/TypeScript to join our dynamic team at BrainRocket.
π Please note: this role is on-site, based in our office.
π§ Main Requirements
β’ 3β5+ years of experience in test automation within product or platform teams
β’ Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript / JavaScript
β’ Experience writing end-to-end tests alongside application code
β’ Proven experience working in cross-functional teams with close collaboration with Backend, Frontend, and DevOps engineers
β’ Practical experience with modern E2E testing frameworks (Playwright or equivalent)
β’ Strong understanding of testing principles and strategies, including the test pyramid, shift-left approach, and contract testing
β’ Experience with REST API testing, data validation, and system-level testing
β’ Ability to design and implement mocks, stubs, and test doubles to ensure stable and isolated tests
β’ Solid understanding of object-oriented and/or functional programming concepts as applied to test code and frameworks
β’ Experience working with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
β’ Familiarity with test observability and reporting tools (Allure, TestOps, CI-based reporting)
β’ Strong communication skills with the ability to actively participate in technical discussions and challenge requirements constructively
β’ English proficiency at Intermediate level or higher, both written and spoken π¬π§
β Nice to Have
β’ Experience writing and maintaining integration tests (service-to-service, contract-based testing)
β’ Experience contributing to the design and evolution of test automation frameworks
β’ Practical knowledge of Docker and test environment configuration
β’ Experience testing GraphQL APIs
β’ Experience with distributed systems or high-load platforms
β’ Experience in non-functional testing, including performance, reliability, and resilience testing
π Responsibilities
β’ Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end automated tests in TypeScript, developed alongside the application code
β’ Collaborate closely with developers throughout the feature lifecycle (design, implementation, defect resolution)
β’ Participate in defining test strategies at feature and system levels
β’ Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the automation testing framework
β’ Make informed decisions on using mocks, stubs, or real integrations depending on testing goals
β’ Ensure automated tests are reliable, maintainable, and CI/CD-ready
β’ Participate in code reviews for test code and, when appropriate, application code
β’ Provide fast, clear, and actionable feedback on quality and defects
β’ Promote a built-in quality mindset and continuous improvement of testing practices across the team
