QA Automation Lead
Servers com is a global IaaS hosting platform providing a full range of computing, storage, and networking services for US, Europe, and Asia customers. Our main product is a management system of various hosting services, including a customer portal and internal admin panels.
We are looking for a QA Automation Lead to define and execute a company-wide automation testing strategy for our hosting platform. The focus of this role is on building and leading the automation QA direction - designing the strategy, forming a strong team, establishing scalable processes, and ensuring high product quality across backend, frontend, and infrastructure layers.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Team Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy aligned with the company’s growth and technical goals.
- Build, lead, and expand the automation QA team.
- Define priorities, processes, and success metrics for the AQA function.
- Establish and maintain the necessary testing tools, environments, and infrastructure to support automation at scale.
Technical Leadership
- Design and evolve automation frameworks for API, CLI, and SaaS products.
- Increase coverage of existing UI automated tests and ensure their integration into the overall testing framework.
- Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline (GitLab CI, Allure).
- Apply Infrastructure-as-Code principles to testing, ensuring consistent and reproducible environments.
Infrastructure & Quality
- Automate testing for firmware, hardware compatibility, and operating systems.
- Develop scalable frameworks for testing complex network and infrastructure configurations.
- Implement shift-left and test-first practices across engineering teams.
- Define and monitor test coverage metrics, targeting 80%+ coverage of critical paths.
- Optimize regression testing processes to reduce execution time.
Requirements
Mandatory Experience
- 5+ years in QA automation, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Playwright.
- Proven expertise in API test automation (REST/GraphQL).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, BGP, OSPF) and Linux system administration.
- English: fluent in reading technical documentation and professional communication.
Technical Skills
- Programming: Ruby/Go/Python, JavaScript/TypeScript (nice to have).
- CI/CD: GitLab CI, Jenkins; familiarity with GitHub Actions.
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix.
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis, Clickhouse.
- Experience with network configuration management and testing of high-load systems.

- Experience in hosting or telecom environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and culture.
