AI Controls Manager

IgniteTech is developing the industry's first AI-native compliance engine for enterprise software. This platform leverages generative AI to produce audit-ready evidence, propose risk mitigation strategies, and resolve approximately 80% of incoming customer security inquiries autonomously. Your responsibility centers on the critical 20%: refining the AI's output, training its logic, and intervening when expert judgment becomes essential. The goal is not AI replacement of human expertise, but amplification—enabling one expert to accomplish what previously required a team of ten.

This position differs fundamentally from traditional compliance analyst work. You won't spend time chasing approvals or reformatting documentation. Instead, you'll oversee the operational integrity of an autonomous compliance system—identifying gaps in AI performance, validating outputs against auditor standards, and engaging directly when client trust requires human assurance. System improvements will stem directly from your corrections, rule configurations, and model refinements.

You'll collaborate closely with AI engineering teams, compliance strategy leaders, and product operations managers, positioned precisely where security domain knowledge intersects with generative AI innovation. What You Will Be Doing

• Certification Audit Packages: Curated, validated evidence sets and supporting documentation for maintaining PCI DSS, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 compliance certifications.
• Customer Security Responses: Customized replies to sophisticated security inquiries, questionnaires, or assurance verification requests.
• Governance Document Updates: Revisions to policies, procedures, or risk treatment frameworks prompted by regulatory shifts or internal organizational changes.
• AI System Tuning Memos: Modifications to AI operational behavior—including training datasets, control guardrails, and escalation protocols—designed to enhance accuracy and compliance performance.

• A minimum of 3 years leading or managing certification audit processes
• Proven end-to-end ownership of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS audit lifecycles
• Documented experience evaluating and crafting responses to sophisticated customer security questionnaires

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
