The Role

The Director of Brand Marketing will lead the development and execution of strategic marketing initiatives that strengthen brand presence and support business growth. This role is responsible for shaping how products and services are positioned in the market, ensuring consistent, compelling brand expression across channels.


You will guide integrated, data-driven campaigns, evaluate research and competitive insights to uncover growth opportunities, and continuously optimize in-market efforts to align with brand and business goals. This position partners closely with cross-functional leaders and plays a key role in translating strategy into measurable outcomes.


This role follows a flexible hybrid model, with four days per week on-site at the San Antonio, Texas office. Relocation support is available.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team that serves as the primary connection point between marketing and internal business partners
  • Foster strong, collaborative relationships across marketing, sales, and service teams
  • Enable cross-functional innovation by sharing insights and expertise across stakeholder groups
  • Communicate progress, performance, and priorities to senior leaders and other key partners
  • Track, evaluate, and report on campaign effectiveness, including ROI and key performance indicators
  • Oversee the creation of integrated, multi-channel campaigns designed to drive customer action
  • Provide strategic analysis, insights, and communications support to executive stakeholders as needed
  • Monitor consumer behavior, market dynamics, and competitor activity to inform marketing direction
  • Guide the planning and management of assigned marketing budgets
  • Ensure marketing activities comply with organizational risk management and regulatory standards


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in marketing or a related discipline
  • Minimum of three years in a people management or team leadership role
  • Advanced expertise in marketing strategy with demonstrated ability to apply knowledge at scale


Preferred Experience and Skills

  • Ten or more years of experience in brand and/or lifecycle marketing, including leadership at a portfolio or enterprise level
  • Background in large, consumer-focused organizations such as financial services, fintech, insurance, or loyalty-driven brands
  • Proven success developing onboarding, engagement, loyalty, or rewards initiatives
  • Strong brand leadership skills with the ability to translate strategy into compelling product and experience storytelling
  • Deep knowledge of lifecycle marketing supported by analytics and customer insights
  • Experience working within highly regulated industries
  • Track record of building high-performing marketing teams and evolving marketing capabilities across strategy, creative, and channel execution
  • Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with partners in product, digital, analytics, and compliance functions
  • Prior military service or close affiliation with the military community is a plus


Compensation and Additional Information


The salary range for this position is $127,310 to $243,340, with final compensation determined by experience, skill set, location, and market considerations.
