Role Summary
- Lead the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures
- Support cloud transformation initiatives with hybrid and multi-cloud networking strategies
- Ensure seamless integration between on-premises environments and cloud-native services
- Translate business objectives into technical network solutions through analysis and documentation
Business & Systems Analysis
- Understand business objectives and operational challenges
- Identify alternative technical solutions and perform feasibility and cost/benefit analyses
- Analyze user requirements, workflows, and procedures to automate or improve existing systems
- Confer with personnel across organizational units to analyze current operational procedures
- Identify system, network, and process gaps and recommend improvements
- Document input/output requirements, data flows, reporting formats, and system dependencies
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, network functions, and implementation steps
- Review system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling constraints to determine feasibility of changes
- Architect and implement hybrid and multi-cloud connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments
- Design secure, high-performance network architectures meeting compliance and governance requirements
- Define and enforce routing, segmentation, and firewall policies aligned with enterprise architecture standards
- Collaborate with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams to support migrations and optimization
- Establish network governance standards, reference architectures, and best practices
- Design and implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure resiliency, fault tolerance, and performance optimization for mission-critical workloads
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in network architecture across AWS and on-premises environments
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF) and network segmentation
- Hands-on experience with hybrid connectivity solutions (VPN, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway)
- Expertise in network security principles, including encryption, identity, and compliance frameworks
- Proven experience designing high availability, load balancing, and failover strategies
- Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD integration
- Experience with multi-cloud networking (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture and advanced security models
- Exposure to SD-WAN technologies
- Experience with network observability and monitoring tools (NetFlow, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
- Understanding of cloud networking cost optimization strategies
- Relevant certifications (AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Azure Network Engineer Associate)
