Are you a self-driven Network Administrator who thrives in maintaining secure, stable systems and values flexibility in how and when you work? In this role, you will take ownership of monthly server OS patching and update management, ensure timely deployments based on severity, and troubleshoot issues to keep infrastructure compliant and performing at its best.
What you’ll be doing:
- Execute monthly Windows and Linux OS patch and update management
- Review patch severity and prioritize deployments accordingly
- Troubleshoot and remediate failed updates using logs and error codes
- Perform technical tasks to meet update timelines and compliance goals
- Create and maintain technical documentation for patch management processes
- Collaborate with Infrastructure teams to ensure system uptime and security
- Support after-hours work when required for updates or maintenance windows
What we’re looking for:
- Hands-on experience with Windows OS and Linux OS update administration
- Strong skills in application installation and troubleshooting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Experience with Automox and PowerShell scripting
- Comfortable working independently in a freelance / contractor setup
