Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Process Engineer- Coatings / Metalizing to join our Corporate Headquarters based in Paris IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background with the adhesive application process including, analysis, development, planning, and execution of improvements. NAL will provide relocation assistance to anyone outside of the Central/Southern Illinois area.
Your Priorities
While working within the fast paced, automotive environment, you will analyze product and/or equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine designs that can be produced using existing assembly equipment and processes
Validate adhesive to substrate combinations and support development of new adhesive materials
Educate and advise launch teams of adhesive material capability for product designs
Assist in the development, design, testing, and installation of adhesive application systems and processes
Assist in identifying and evaluating new technologies to meet adhesive needs
Salary Range: $90,000 - $108,000
Your Background
BS in Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline plus 4 to 6 years of engineering experience in a process related position
2 to 4 years of experience with coatings/ metalizing- including specifications, formulations, testing, and application methods
Analytical and problem solving skills
Knowledge of standards such as Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) and/or American Standard Technical Methods (ASTM)
