About The Role
We are seeking qualified contractors to fulfill the role of an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer, who build and maintain enterprise-level content management solutions that power exceptional digital experiences. This role combines deep technical expertise in AEM with a passion for creating scalable, secure, and high-performing applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams—including UX, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders—to deliver innovative solutions that enhance customer engagement and business outcomes. This opportunity is open to individuals located in the United States (USA).
Contractors will be engaged and paid by a third-party payroll supplier, BCforward, which will serve as the employer of record for tax and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, dialogs, and workflows
- Customize and extend AEM functionality using Sling, OSGi, and JCR
- Develop backend services and APIs leveraging Java and AEM frameworks
- Implement front-end integrations using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular)
- Build and optimize AEM Sites, Assets, and Content Fragments for enterprise-scale deployments
- Integrate AEM with third-party systems and Adobe Marketing Cloud solutions
- Ensure application performance, security, and scalability through best practices
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities to maintain quality standards
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Version Control: Git for source code management
- CI/CD & DevOps: Jenkins, Maven, or similar tools for automated builds and deployments
- Project Management & Communication: Jira, Confluence, and Slack for agile collaboration
- Design & Content Collaboration: Adobe Cloud and AEM Authoring tools
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 5 years experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM 6.x / AEM as a Coud Service)
- Experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and cloud-native development
- Knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Launch
- Front-end framework experience (React, Angular, Vue)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
- AEM Developer or Architect Certification
- Understanding of accessibility standard (WCAG)
- Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, and JCR
- Experience building AEM components using HTL (Sightly)
- Solid understanding of AEM architecture and best practices
- Experience with RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git)
