Senior Front-end Developer (AI Safety)

Our client is an AI safety start-up developing the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for advanced AI systems. At the core of the platform is a natural-language policy engine—clear rules that define what an AI model should and shouldn’t do. These policies are automatically tested, enforced, and continuously improved at scale.

The company has raised significant funding from leading VC as well as founders and senior leaders across top AI labs and tech companies.

Its systems handle hundreds of millions of API calls every month, and the team trains and fine-tunes its own LLMs to run faster and more efficiently than both open-source and proprietary alternatives.

This is a small, focused team where you’ll work deeply on complex problems, ship features quickly, and directly influence how AI safety is built.

What You’ll Do

• Build fast, reliable front-end interfaces for safety dashboards and developer tools.
• Design and implement APIs and data flows for analytics and monitoring features.
• Work with large datasets stored in ClickHouse.
• Track down and fix cross-browser quirks (yes, Safari included).

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind, and GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience working with LLMs (OpenAI APIs, function calling, context strategies, etc.).
• Ability to write solid, non-trivial SQL without relying on constant reference lookups.
• A genuine focus on design, usability, and performance—not just hacking things together.
