Overview

In GTC, Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business is part of Infrastructure vertical. T&D business is doing projects UK. Canada, ANZ & other countries.

T&D business is looking for experienced engineers in Balance of Plant Discipline, as we look to grow the team in line with business requirements. Your role

Using your experience and knowledge, you will be responsible for the delivery of a variety of projects of our work and making sure it meets our client's'expectations.

You Will Be Taking Up The Following Responsibilities

  • Preparation of Load List and Single line Diagrams (SLD).
  • Preparation of General arrangement drawing and equipment layout.
  • Transformer sizing, LV and MV cable sizing, DC/UPS system sizing.
  • LV and MV cable routing.
  • Lightning protection and earthing design.
  • Lighting calculation, small power design, Cable containment system design.
  • Clash detection and co-ordination with other utilities.

About You

  • Graduate/post-graduate degree in Electrical Engineering with around 2-5 years of relevant experience in balance of plant engineering.
  • Knowledge of MV/LV power distribution system with good understanding of electrical equipment such as switchgear, protective relays, breakers, transformers, motors, generators, cables, DC Batteries etc.
  • Familiarity with 2D and 3D BIM environment.
  • Good knowledge of BS standards and other international standards.
  • Good report writing skills.

  • Be a part of the team which is working at different geographical locations and co-ordinate for the needs of the project.
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
  • Capability to work under tight deadlines while achieving objectives with the ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
