About the Company
Our client is a US & Greece–based technology company building data infrastructure solutions for US enterprise-level clients. Their products operate deep in the data layer, enabling reliable, scalable and high-quality data flows across complex systems. The team is growing and is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who is passionate about data quality, validation, and ensuring the reliability of data pipelines.
Role Overview
As a Mid (Manual) QA Engineer, you will focus on Quality Assurance of data pipelines and APIs, ensuring that data flows are accurate, complete, and reliable across systems. This is a manual-first QA role, with strong exposure to data, APIs, and backend logic. Over time, you will have the opportunity to evolve towards QA automation practices, if that aligns with your interests.
The role is fully remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual QA testing on data pipelines and backend systems
- Validate data correctness, consistency, and transformations using SQL
- Design, create and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans
- Perform API testing (request/response validation, edge cases, data integrity)
- Identify, analyze and help resolve data quality issues
- Review and understand Python-based code or scripts related to data flows
- Collaborate closely with Engineers and Product teams to ensure quality across releases
- Contribute to improving QA processes and preparing the ground for future automation
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of experience in the Quality Assurance field
- Strong experience in manual QA practices
- Very good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Experience with API testing (REST APIs)
- Ability to understand code logic or write small scripts
- Exposure to reviewing Python code is a strong plus
- IT / Computer Science / Engineering or Tech-related educational background
- Genuine interest in data quality, data validation, and backend systems
Nice to Have
- Exposure to data pipelines, ETL processes or analytics systems
- Familiarity with QA automation concepts or tools (not mandatory)
- Experience working with distributed or remote teams
