Key Responsibilities

  • Installation, Administration and Configuration of UNIX/LINUX/RED HAT OS Systems
  • Collaboration with Installation, Administration and Configuration of OVM Systems
  • Installation, Administration and Configuration of Solaris Systems
  • Involved with the configuration and maintenance of physical and logical Severs
  • Participate as Request, Incident or Change Management Team Member
  • Responsible for UNIX/LINUX/Red Hat Technical Documentation
    • Inventory
    • Diagram
    • Layout
    • IP Address Space Administration
  • Perform Proactive Monitoring of UNIX/LINUX/RED HAT OS Systems
  • IT Security Initiatives Collaborator
  • Assist in the design of UNIX/LINUX/RED HAT Systems architecture
  • Collaborate to develop a backup and recovery strategy for OS Systems
  • Collaborate for disaster recovery process execution
  • Configuring the network environment to enable clients to connect to OS Systems
  • Anual testing DRP Participation
  • Participate on KPI definition for Monitoring
  • Develop KPIs Monthly reports
  • Follow up of Service Request with providers
  • Security Administration for OS Hardening
  • Patch Management for UNIX/LINUX/RED HAT OS systems
  • Participate on action Plan definition for OS Version Updates
  • Participate Designing OS Systems including identifying requirements, creating the logical design (conceptual model), and physical servers requirement definition
  • Managing storage for OS Systems
  • Evaluating and testing new OS system features
  • End User incident and request follow up
  • Participate on Design and implement improvement projects
  • Protect the data to minimize or prevent data loss and corruptions
Qualifications

  • 2-3 Years of experience in operating system support - Linux and Solaris
  • Basic knowledge of Linux (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu) and Solaris operating systems.
  • Familiarity with shell scripting and command-line tools.
  • Understanding of system monitoring tools and basic networking concepts.
  • Exposure to virtualization technologies and cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/LINUX/RED HAT systems
  • Advanced Knowledge of Solaris systems
  • Practical Knowledge of Oracle Virtual Machine technology administration
  • Reviewing of lower-level professionals
