The ideal candidate will be a versatile team player with expertise spanning low-level development, infrastructure, testing automation, and application programming.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Linux-based chip management applications and SDKs.
- Implement test suites for validating SDK application workflows used by device customers.
- Create mock software components to support unit testing of device firmware.
- Design and optimize testing lab infrastructure and processes.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional and international teams for seamless integration.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback aligned with quality standards.
- Independently drive projects to meet deadlines and deliverables.
- 10+ years of experience in embedded software engineering.
- Expertise in C, Python, and Shell scripting languages.
- Proven track record with Embedded Linux and Windows environments.
- Strong understanding of client-server architecture and multithreading concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SPI protocol and mock component development for unit testing.
- Skilled in developing system integration tests for SDK applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and effective communication across international teams.
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial and independent work attitude.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab).
- Familiarity with embedded security practices and common network protocols.
- Knowledge of static analysis tools (SAST) and Python packages for web UI development.
- Background in remote or distributed team environments.
- Must work onsite full-time in Austin, TX.
