Job Description
We are looking for a Senior MySQL / Oracle Database Administrator who is willing to relocate to join our Client’s team in Braine L'Alleud, Belgium.

Eligibility:
- Candidate must have resided in Portugal for at least the past 5 years.
- Portuguese citizenship is mandatory.
- Candidate must be prepared to obtain EU security clearance upon accepting the job offer (with Hexa coordination).
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor database system performance and implement measures to ensure high availability and optimal operation.
- Define and execute backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.
- Lead the upgrade and patching strategy for all database and BI stack components, including:
- Oracle Analytics
- WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat
- OBIEE, ODI, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS)
- Select and implement DB infrastructure configurations aligned with business/technology needs.
- Perform routine installations, configurations, backups in both on-premise and cloud environments.
- Develop and configure automation tools for DBA operations.
- Ensure software versions remain current and manage product lifecycle.
- Monitor performance statistics and deliver detailed reporting.
- Provide 24/7 monitoring and operational support for all assigned DB platforms under Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS).
Technical Requirements:
Mandatory:
- Solid hands-on experience with at least two of the following:
- Oracle, MySQL Server, PostgreSQL
- Deep knowledge of MySQL HA/DR solutions, including:
- InnoDB Cluster / ReplicaSet / ClusterSet, MySQL Replication
- Proven experience with Oracle BI tools:
- OBIEE, ODI, OAS
- Proficiency with ORDS, Apache HTTP Server, Tomcat
- Strong experience with Linux/UNIX and Microsoft Windows Server environments
- Expertise in HA/DR architectures, including clustering and virtual infrastructure
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and automation-driven
- Able to prioritize and manage tasks in high-availability environments
- Strong problem-solving mindset and proactive attitude
- Excellent communicator and collaborator in multilingual, multicultural teams
- Fluent in English
