About the Opportunity
An exciting scale up in Abu Dhabi is launching a major Post Quantum Security research and development programme. We are seeking an experienced Software and Security Architect to play a key role in designing and delivering advanced secure systems. This role offers the chance to work on cutting edge applied cryptography while shaping next generation architectures that will support national level security initiatives.

Role Overview
You will lead the design and implementation of secure systems with a strong emphasis on applied cryptography. The role involves hands on architecture work, team leadership, and meaningful contributions to the evolution of post quantum security capabilities. You will collaborate with cross functional engineering groups, guide secure development practices, and engage external partners to embed strong security principles into their systems and products.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement secure architectures with a focus on applied cryptography
Conduct research and development into new cryptographic techniques and algorithms, including post quantum approaches
Work closely with engineering teams to design, build and validate software systems
Lead and mentor developers, promoting secure coding practices and high quality engineering standards
Participate in the development of organisational security policies and technical frameworks
Create and maintain technical documentation relating to software security and cryptographic components
Collaborate with partners and customers to integrate advanced security requirements into their platforms
Requirements
Bachelor or Master level degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
Extensive experience in software development with specialisation in security and applied cryptography
Strong understanding of cryptographic algorithms and real world implementation considerations
Good knowledge of computer networking and core protocols such as TCP IP
Experience leading technical teams or acting as a senior architectural authority
Solid understanding of modern software development methodologies
Strong communication, analytical and problem solving ability
Relevant security certifications such as CISSP are considered an advantage
