Senior Machine Learning Engineer (2 Roles)
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Compensation: $150–200K base + bonus & equity

About the Role
Join a small, high-impact ML team focused on building and improving an agentic voice platform. You’ll work closely with engineering, DevOps, and product teams to fine-tune models, deploy them at scale, and contribute to the technical direction of core ML systems.
Responsibilities
- Fine-tune and optimize LLMs (e.g., LoRA, quantization).
- Deploy models into production and support ongoing performance improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on model validation, evaluation, and iteration.
- Contribute to scalable ML infrastructure and best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry ML experience (beyond academic work).
- Strong experience fine-tuning, optimizing, and deploying LLMs and dialogue systems.
- Hands-on experience with GPT-class models, RAG, LangChain/LangGraph, MCP, prompt engineering, and safety guardrails.
- Bonus: Speech/voice experience (ASR tools such as Whisper, Kaldi, NeMo; TTS models like Tacotron, FastSpeech, VITS).
