Job Description
Techmunity have exclusively hiring a Senior AI Engineer for a fast-growing startup who've built an AI-driven SaaS platform that runs operations for household names in the coffee shop/QSR world (Pret, Blank Street etc)
AI is the future of their architecture, and they're in the process of moving beyond simple analytics to build a multi-modal intelligence layer - spanning predictive modeling, computer vision, and audio processing - this is where you come in.
As the resident AI expert in the engineering team, you will have the autonomy to define how they solve problems - whether that means integrating best-in-class APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google) or training and hosting custom open-source models on their own infrastructure.
You will work side-by-side with their Engineering Manager, Data Engineer, and DevOps team to architect solutions that are not just experimental, but production-grade and scalable .
You won't just be building models; you will be building the system that allows the company to "see," "hear," and "predict" for their customers.
They are looking AI Engineers who have:
- Proven track record of deploying AI/ML solutions into production environments
- Experience integrating Managed AI Services (OpenAI API, Google Vertex, AWS SageMaker).
- Experience with Open Source/Custom Models (PyTorch, Hugging Face, fine-tuning LLMs, or RAG pipelines)
- Data & DevOps Fluency: You understand what is required to train a model (data pipelines) and what is required to serve it (inference latency, GPU requirements, Docker).
- Autonomy: You are comfortable navigating ambiguity. You can take a high-level business goal and drive it to a technical solution without needing a pre-written roadmap.
If you have any of the below, it's a bonus:
- Experience dealing with unstructured data (video/audio streams) or computer vision.
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment where you wore multiple hats.
- Background in hospitality tech or retail operations.
This Senior AI Engineer role is paying upto £100,000 plus the opportunity to get meaningful equity before it's diluted with advanced investment rounds.
The team work 5/days a week onsite in London (Holborn). VISA sponsorship is also available.
