Cyber Security Manager – Microsoft Security Stack

Salary: Up to £85,000

Location: Fully Remote (UK-based)


About the Role

Our client is seeking a Cyber Security Manager with strong expertise across the Microsoft security ecosystem to help build and mature their Security Operations capability. This role will drive the delivery of their security programme, support vendor transitions, and oversee the deployment of new security tools and capabilities.


You will collaborate closely with teams across the business, including Cloud, Software, Infrastructure, and wider IT to ensure security is embedded at every level.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance the client’s Security Operations capability, including tooling, processes, and monitoring.
  • Lead delivery of the organisation’s cyber security programme and key security improvements.
  • Deploy and optimise Microsoft security technologies (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview).
  • Support and manage security vendor changes and onboarding of new solutions.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure secure design, delivery, and operations.
  • Contribute to incident management and continuous security improvements.
  • Maintain security policies, standards, and documentation.

Skills & Experience

  • Experience as a Cyber Security Manager, SOC Lead, or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of the Microsoft security stack.
  • Proven experience building or maturing Security Operations capabilities.
  • Ability to drive delivery of security programmes and implement new capabilities.
  • Experience managing security vendors and partners.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams.
  • Relevant security or Microsoft certifications (desirable).
