Title: GCP Cloud Developer/Engineer

Summary:

The GCP Cloud Developer will support enterprise application migrations from on-premise environments to Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This role involves reviewing application architectures, advising on cloud best practices, and actively removing technical blockers to ensure smooth migration and modernization.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Review: Assess existing application architectures and recommend GCP-native designs for scalability, security, and cost optimization.

Migration Support: Collaborate with project teams to plan and execute migration strategies, including rehosting, refactoring, and replatforming.

Best Practices Guidance: Provide expertise on GCP services, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and security compliance.

Blocker Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve migration challenges related to networking, identity management, data transfer, and application dependencies.

Collaboration: Work closely with architects, developers, and operations teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and governance.

Documentation: Maintain migration playbooks, architecture diagrams, and lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Required Skill:

Strong knowledge of GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, etc.).

Experience with application migration strategies and tools.

Proficiency in Terraform or similar IaC tools.

Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD practices.

Ability to identify and remediate technical blockers quickly.
