Job Description


About the role
Our team is home to a product that helps Tesco engineering teams and directors ensure monitoring and observability of prices in almost 7,000 of Tesco stores on a grand scale. Data we capture is indispensable in discovering and fixing discrepancies in item prices, promotions and supporting systems.
You will be responsible for





















• Implementation - Writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• System Design – Brainstorming solutions to engineering problems and helping the team decide upon a design for a given feature.
• Testing & Quality Assurance - Ensuring high reliability through automated and manual testing.
• Deployment & Monitoring - Managing releases, monitoring performance, and proposing occasional optimizations.
• Documentation – Helping developer resources stay up to date and have adequately describe the system.
You will work in a high-collaboration environment, engaging with product owners, business analysts, and other engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.


You will need





















• 3+ years of hands-on experience delivering high-quality applications.
• Some background in Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban).
• Good English with clear and concise communication skills.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in owning features end-to-end with minimum guidance and providing technical leadership, if applicable.
• Ability to reflect upon and improve your engineering and soft skills related to the project at hand.
• A proactive, self-driven attitude with a focus on delivering value.
