Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in United States.
In this role, you will play a hands-on, high-impact part in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure across a fast-growing organization. You will work closely with Security Operations, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to enhance system resiliency, detect and respond to threats, and integrate best-in-class security tools and processes. This position offers opportunities to influence security strategy, drive automation, and improve operational workflows across the cloud environment. - Accountabilities:
- Implement, maintain, and enhance operational playbooks for security tools and services such as CrowdStrike, Okta, Wiz, SumoLogic, Palo Alto Networks, and CyberArk.
- Detect, investigate, and respond to security incidents, providing timely mitigation and remediation.
- Collaborate with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to design and deploy resilient, defensible cloud architectures.
- Develop, document, and maintain incident response procedures and security best practices.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support operational troubleshooting and ad-hoc requests.
- Identify gaps in current security architecture and implement or acquire solutions to close vulnerabilities.
- Mentor and guide team members on security practices and operational procedures.
- Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, analyst roles, or cloud security.
- Strong knowledge of AWS IAM policies, security best practices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Experience securing containerized applications using Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server security, and general enterprise security principles.
- Hands-on experience with scripting, automation, or software development for security-related workflows.
- Experience with penetration testing, CTFs, or Red/Blue/Purple team operations is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Self-driven, collaborative, and capable of working independently in a remote-first environment.
