Job Description
Client system is the one handling flight travel requests from travel agents, online agencies, and airlines, to empower their search engines and agents to offer the most convenient flight options in the lowest price. Our product is a highly complex, challenging and dynamic area, the cornerstone of all travel bookings for airfare. This position will provide the candidate with the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of our business including fare rules, taxes, system complexity and data filings as well as how airline and travel network customers are using the Sabre system. Test automation is our main goal. Knowledge of XML testing as well as scripting in Python is strongly expected. The candidate must demonstrate testing acumen, troubleshooting abilities and a strong desire to understand how systems work. The QA team ensures high quality customer experience through systematic use of agile testing practices.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Designs, creates, executes and maintains automated tests,
- Designs, creates and maintains test tools,
- Document detailed steps to reproduce defects and malfunctions,
- Analyses test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action,
- Consults with development engineers and business analysts to resolve problems,
- Attend status meetings and provide oral and written reports regarding work progress,
- May take part in researching best practices, new tools and technology.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in Quality Assurance testing, writing and executing test plans,
- Strong knowledge of testing domain,
- Scripting experience in Python,
- Experience with testing in Agile/ Iterative Development,
- Experience in working with XML,
- Unix at user level,
- Problem solving skills,
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, organization skills,
- Knowledge of bug tracking tools such as Jira,
- Experience in working with global, distributed teams,
- Experience in backend system testing,
- Knowledge of regular expressions,
- Knowledge of GIT (or another version control tool),
- Experience in test automation tools (e.g. JMeter, Selenium, QTP)
- Good English communication skills, written and verbal,
- Experience in Airline or Travel Industry is nice to have.
