Job Title: Design and Drafting Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Design and Drafting Manager to lead a team of design and drafting professionals within the nuclear energy sector. This role involves supervising the production of detailed technical drawings and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and guide a team of design and drafting professionals to ensure high performance and career development.
  • Coordinate design activities for multiple engineering projects to ensure timely and accurate completion of drawings and specifications.
  • Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of technical drawings, plans, and designs created by the team.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders to define design requirements and address any challenges.
  • Ensure all designs comply with nuclear industry regulations, standards, and safety protocols.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous quality control processes to verify that designs meet technical specifications and client requirements.
  • Utilize industry-specific design and drafting software to oversee and manage design work.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation of design work, including drawing revisions and project progress.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in design and drafting within the nuclear, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field.
  • Expertise in 2D and 3D drafting tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, and MicroStation.
  • Experience in electrical design and engineering management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the oil/gas and energy sectors is highly preferred, with a strong preference for a nuclear background.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52.88 - $64.90/hr.
