The Application Services Bulgaria department at DXC spearheads projects using cutting-edge technologies for server, cloud, and mobile applications. Our team of over 300 application development professionals designs and delivers mission-critical software for leading global companies in industries such as Banking, Insurance, Transport, Healthcare, Energy, and more.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Developer to lead our cloud migration initiative. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AWS cloud migration and a solid understanding of Java development and related technologies. You will play a crucial role in porting our existing environment to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition, and establishing a robust, platform-agnostic infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the migration of our existing environment from VMware to AWS.
• Develop, test, and deploy Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform (Open Tofu).
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins.
• Manage containerized applications using Docker.
• Work with Linux RH8 environments to ensure compatibility and performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
Mandatory Skills Description:
Required Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience with AWS cloud migration projects.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly using Terraform (Open Tofu).
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, specifically GitLab and Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of Docker and container orchestration.
• Experience working with Linux RH8 environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with platform-agnostic environments.
• Knowledge of modern software development practices and methodologies.
• Familiarity with VMware environments.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.

English: B2 Upper Intermediate
