Job Description:
Our 100% remote agile development team is looking for an entry-level Project Manager to help us deliver top-quality IT Modernization for our Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) customers.You will work directly with government customers and with other GDIT management team, developers and business analysts to create advanced software tools tailored to scientific applications. You’ll support the team in applying new approaches, principles, methods, techniques and tools compatible with the research environment within EPA. You’ll be a creative problem-solver, and contribute to strategies for a modern integrated IT environment.
MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
The entry-level Project Manager requires working knowledge of project management principles with a strong aptitude for supporting staff working across multiple agile software development teams. The role requires coordination and collaboration with EPA customers through strong communication, troubleshooting, analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Responsibilities include developing technical project plans, cost estimates, reports, and ensuring successful completion of project deliverables. The candidate will manage the risk tracking process, attend customer meetings, interact with other contractors and EPA stakeholders, and ensure quality assurance of project outputs. Additionally, the candidate will help develop and implement standard operating procedures while seeking continuous improvement in organizational processes and developing strategies for future work. This is an ideal opportunity for a junior project manager looking to grow into a more senior role over time.

- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Experience: 2+ years of related experience
- Technical skills: project planning, generating cost estimates, agile methodologies, Atlassian Confluence and Jira, risk management, quality assurance
- Security clearance level: must be able to obtain EPA Public Trust Level 2
- US citizenship required
- Candidates with previous experience working with EPA or on a federal government IT project are strongly desired.
