Our client, a specialist consultancy delivering complex identity and access management solutions, is seeking an experienced SailPoint Engineer to join their growing IAM practice. This is a fully remote role offering the opportunity to work with major enterprise clients on high-impact identity transformation projects.
Role Summary:
As a SailPoint Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting cutting-edge SailPoint IdentityIQ (IIQ) and/or IdentityNow deployments. You will work closely with client stakeholders, architects, and internal delivery teams to ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and operational requirements.
This role is ideal for a self-driven IAM professional who thrives in a consultancy environment and enjoys solving complex identity challenges at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and deploy SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow solutions for enterprise clients
- Build and customise workflows, rules, connectors, and integrations
- Implement access governance, provisioning, lifecycle management, and certification processes
- Lead troubleshooting and optimisation of SailPoint environments
- Conduct technical workshops, requirements gathering, and documentation
- Support the full project lifecycle—from architecture and design through to testing and go-live
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including security architects, project managers, and developers
- Provide expert guidance on identity best practices, process improvement, and risk mitigation
- Assist with knowledge transfer and training for client teams
Skills & Experience Required
- Proven hands-on experience implementing SailPoint IdentityIQ and/or IdentityNow
- Strong understanding of identity governance (IGA), access management, and IAM concepts
- Proficiency with SailPoint customisation (Java, Beanshell, XML, REST APIs)
- Experience integrating SailPoint with HR systems, directories, and enterprise applications
- Solid understanding of role-based access control (RBAC) and identity lifecycle management
- Knowledge of cloud identity platforms (Azure AD/Entra ID, Okta, etc.) is advantageous
- Consultancy or client-facing experience is highly desirable
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting
- Relevant certifications (SailPoint, Microsoft, security) are beneficial but not essential
