Data Scientist
Location: Remote
About the Role:
We are looking for a Data Scientist whose primary focus will be to work in the Location Intelligence Data Science Team and provide complete solutions to business problems using machine learning techniques, statistics, and data analysis.
As a successful candidate, you will have the chance to collaborate and work closely with system engineers and data scientists to develop and implement highly scalable solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and evaluate innovative models for predictive learning, collaborating with the data team
- Process and analyze large-scale datasets using Apache Spark for distributed computing
- Work on large datasets using AI/ML technologies
- Automate procedures and algorithms to improve efficiency and scalability
- Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Required:
- Experience: 2-3 years in similar role
- Education: STEM degree (Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics); PhD in STEM subjects is a plus
- Solid knowledge of Statistical Testing/Statistical Inference techniques to extract valuable KPIs from Big Data repositories
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Solid knowledge and proven experience in Python
- Familiarity with data management and numerical computing libraries (Pandas, Dask, NumPy, SciPy, Spark, etc.)
- Experience with ML engines for notebooks (Jupyter, Google Colab)
- Strong understanding of:
o Data preparation and data quality management o Feature extraction and engineering o Model selection and training
Desired Skills:
- Big Data experience with distributed computing frameworks
- Geospatial Analysis Techniques for Location Intelligence (Geographical Clustering and Statistical Correlation)
- Familiarity with Transformer-based architectures like BERT, GPT (Hugging Face ecosystem)
- Experience with deep learning algorithms and dedicated frameworks
(TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch)
- Proficiency with code versioning tools (Git, GitHub/GitLab)
- Experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of prompt engineering and LLM optimization techniques
