The ideal candidate has deep expertise in large language models (LLMs), MLOps, AI/ML platform architecture, and enterprise AI governance. This position offers the opportunity to shape the AI capabilities of a forward-looking organization and influence strategic decisions across multiple business domains.

  • Accountabilities:
  • Define and execute the AI/ML technical strategy and architecture across the organization, covering data ingestion, MLOps, model training, fine-tuning, RAG, and agentic applications.
  • Make critical technology decisions balancing build vs. buy vs. open-source approaches to ensure speed, cost efficiency, and long-term scalability.
  • Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier AI engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning, excellence, and innovation.
  • Build, scale, and maintain AI/ML platforms providing standardized tooling, infrastructure, and workflows for LLM training, deployment, orchestration, and evaluation.
  • Partner with business and product leaders to design, implement, and optimize AI solutions that deliver measurable outcomes aligned with strategic goals.
  • Ensure reliability, compliance, governance, and cost efficiency of AI infrastructure and deployed solutions.
  • Drive operational excellence, including quality assurance, observability, AI governance, and performance monitoring.
  • Champion responsible and ethical AI adoption, ensuring explainable, compliant, and high-quality AI solutions across the organization.
  • Requirements:
  • 15+ years of engineering leadership experience in AI, ML, or data science.
  • Deep expertise in Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, fine-tuning, and model evaluation methodologies.
  • Proven track record of delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions in enterprise or customer-facing applications.
  • Strong understanding of production software engineering best practices, CI/CD, testing, observability, error handling, and security.
  • Experience with cloud-based AI platforms (e.g., AWS AI/ML services, Google AI, OpenAI, Snowflake AI, xAI).
  • Expertise in optimizing AI model performance and cost at scale, particularly for LLMs.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science, AI/ML, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, pharma, or diagnostics is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, ethical AI frameworks, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, FDA) is a plus.
  • Benefits:
  • Competitive compensation range: $217,400—$271,800 USD.
  • Flexible, fully remote work in the United States.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
  • Paid time off, holidays, and retirement savings options.
  • Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and exposure to enterprise AI strategy.
  • Access to cutting-edge AI technologies and the chance to lead transformative AI initiatives.
