Job Description


This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Security Engineer in EMEA.

In this role, you will contribute to securing advanced blockchain protocols and web3 products by applying deep technical expertise and proactive security practices. You will work closely with decentralized teams to identify vulnerabilities, strengthen system design, and develop innovative tooling to stay ahead of emerging threats. The position offers a fully remote environment with a strong security culture, giving you the opportunity to analyze complex architectures, lead independent research, and collaborate with industry experts. You will have a meaningful impact on product resilience while operating with a high degree of autonomy, integrity, and trust.

  • Accountabilities:
  • Design and implement security and defense-in-depth controls to reduce vulnerabilities and strengthen overall robustness.
  • Conduct advanced security research across blockchain networks and smart contract platforms.
  • Build security tooling and developer workflows to enable early detection of issues.
  • Partner with core contributors to perform internal security audits and reviews.
  • Oversee external audits in coordination with top third-party security firms.
  • Manage bug bounty programs on platforms such as Immunefi, including triage and communication.
  • Work effectively within diverse, decentralized teams of web3 professionals.
  • Clearly articulate security risks, findings, and recommended actions.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality, trust, and professionalism.
  • Requirements:
  • Strong curiosity and the ability to quickly absorb complex technical concepts.
  • Experience with code reviews, reverse engineering, fuzzing, or binary exploitation.
  • Willingness to learn multiple web3 technology stacks, including those written in Rust, Golang, or C.
  • Previous achievement in bug bounty leaderboards, audit contests, or CTF competitions is a plus.
