Job Description


IT Security Engineer | Fully Remote


Join Cats Protection, the UK’s largest cat welfare charity, as an IT Security Engineer and help protect our technology systems while making life better for millions of cats.


What you’ll do:


  • Support and operate our enterprise-scale Security Operations Centre.
  • Deploy and optimise Microsoft security tools, including AI-driven XDR platforms.
  • Monitor, detect, triage, and respond to security threats.
  • Conduct risk assessments, forensic investigations, and develop security policies.
  • Collaborate with the Infrastructure Team to strengthen our overall security posture.
  • Promote security awareness across the organisation.


About you:


  • Experience in a similar IT security role within the past 12 months.
  • Microsoft Security Certification and hands-on expertise with Microsoft security technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud security (Azure) and experience investigating incidents.
  • Strong understanding of security frameworks and standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
