We are hiring for several contract engineering roles focused on embedded development and Qt-based application modernization. These roles support software and tools used across device networking, embedded systems, and cross-platform desktop applications. All positions are remote, with one short onsite visit during the project for team collaboration in Wisconsin.
Open Roles Include:
Embedded Software Engineer (Board Bring-Up & Display Integration)
- Work on embedded systems and hardware bring-up for next-generation device gateways
- Develop board support packages (BSP), integrate displays, and create UI elements for configuration/status
- Experience with embedded C/C++, microcontrollers, FreeRTOS, display drivers, or graphics libraries is a plus
- Modernize existing desktop applications by migrating from Qt5 to Qt6
- Update legacy Qt code, remove deprecated APIs, and ensure full cross-platform compatibility
- Work with Windows and MacOS builds, CMake, and device-networking workflows
- Improve and update applications used in device configuration and system management
- Support UI scaling, platform compatibility, and performance updates
- Collaborate with internal teams to merge in-progress changes and validate functionality
- Strong experience with Qt (Qt5 and/or Qt6)
- Background in C++, application modernization, or embedded UI development
- Familiarity with CMake, cross-platform build workflows, and modern software tooling
- Experience with embedded Linux, microcontrollers, or display technologies is a plus (for embedded role)
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams
- Remote roles with one short onsite trip (1 week) during the project to Wisconsin (expenses paid)
- Contract duration: 2-6 months depending on the project
- Start dates: ASAP through early next year
- Experience levels: Mid to Senior
