About The Role
We are seeking a talented Mobile Front End Engineer to join our team working on a pivotal federal program. This role involves developing and enhancing user interfaces that align with design specifications, ensuring seamless data consumption and creation from backend services. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, designers, and product owners, to deliver high-quality, user-friendly mobile and web applications. Your expertise will influence architectural decisions, improve data endpoints, and optimize the performance and usability of our applications. Qualifications
- 2–5 years of front-end or mobile application development experience (web, mobile, or hybrid)
- Strong proficiency with React.js and ideally React Native or similar mobile frameworks
- Solid knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs, working with JSON and authentication flows
- Familiarity with mobile UI/UX patterns, browser/web mobile interoperability, and performance optimization
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, using version control systems like Git, and ticketing tools such as JIRA
- Basic understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and federal compliance (NIST, VA standards) is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with product owners, backend engineers, and designers
- Authorized to work in the United States; U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance may be required for certain roles
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, test, and maintain responsive user interfaces for mobile and web applications
- Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional, high-quality code
- Integrate front-end components with backend RESTful APIs, ensuring data accuracy and security
- Participate in architectural discussions to define data formats and endpoint structures
- Optimize application performance for various devices and browsers to ensure a seamless user experience
- Implement accessibility standards and ensure compliance with federal regulations
- Contribute to Agile/Scrum development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Maintain version control practices and document technical specifications
- Perform code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting to uphold code quality
- Stay updated on emerging front-end and mobile development trends and best practices
