We are partnered with one of my biggest global investment banks who are growing their team in Hong Kong. We are seeking a highly experienced AVP/VP C++ Algo Market Making Developer.
✈️If you are not currently based in Hong Kong, We are seeking exceptional AVP/VP C++ Algo Market Making Developer who are open to relocation✈️
Key Responsibilities
- Manage vendor-based applications and develop C++ components, ensuring system stability and performance.
- Collaborate with a team working in both C++ and Java to support the flow derivatives business.
- Maintain existing systems while contributing to more ambitious and strategic projects, such as enhancing the market-making platform.
- Engage extensively with traders, compliance, and regulatory teams, requiring a high level of maturity and professionalism.
- Focus on automating market-making processes and improving connectivity within trading systems.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in C++ programming is essential; experience in options market making is ideal.
- Familiar/experience with the Tbricks vendor platform is highly desirable; while not mandatory, it is a significant advantage.
- Candidates should be willing to learn and work with Java, as there is scope for collaboration on in-house applications.
- Experience in high-frequency trading (HFT) and connectivity, along with pricing knowledge, is advantageous
- Candidates do not need to be super specialized; a gentle focus in one of the domains within equities is acceptable.
Ideal Candidate
- A mature and independent professional with significant experience in trading environments.
- Background in investment banking
- Familiarity with exchange operations is beneficial.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks, with exposure to the operating model (STLC).
- Market Making Focus: Familiarity with automated market-making systems; low latency experience is beneficial but not critical.
