About The Role

As a QA Engineer II at Outliant, you will serve as a key advocate for quality assurance, ensuring that our digital products meet the highest standards of functionality, reliability, and security. You will utilize your expertise in testing methodologies to design, execute, and automate comprehensive test plans. Working within an agile environment, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to identify issues early and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes. Your role involves both manual and automated testing, with a focus on enhancing test efficiency, managing regression testing, and leading efforts in performance and security testing. Mentorship and documentation are also integral parts of your responsibilities, supporting team growth and maintaining high-quality standards across projects.

Qualifications

  • 3 to 4 years of experience as a QA Engineer
  • Proven experience in software development lifecycles (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, or Jav,a for test automation
  • Experience with API testing tools and frameworks like Postman and Rest Assured
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for troubleshooting complex issues
  • Extensive background in Web Application and API Testing
  • Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Lighthouse
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX testing principles
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work effectively in the EST timezone

Nice to have qualifications include experience with industry-standard test automation frameworks (Cypress, Appium, Playwright, Robot Framework), knowledge of Gherkin syntax, familiarity with BrowserStack, SQL, AWS, data analysis tools, conversion tracking, split testing, SEO/SEM principles, security and accessibility testing, automation frameworks like Selenium, version control with Git, and experience with tools like GTM and GA4.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive test plans and strategies aligned with project requirements, technical specifications, and risk assessments
  • Execute test cases manually and through automation, identifying defects and ensuring software functionality, reliability, and performance across all user journeys.eys
  • Develop and maintain basic automated test scripts under guidance, improving testing efficiency.
  • Maintain high attention to detail to detect even minor issues
  • Analyze test results to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, providing recommendations to prevent future issues
  • Own and architect regression testing processes, ensuring existing features remain functional with new code changes, and optimize test execution strategies
  • Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects using bug tracking systems such as ClickUp, collaborating with development teams for timely resolution
  • Effectively report issues and communicate findings with stakeholders and developers
  • Generate detailed test reports, present findings, and assist in maintaining the project knowledge base
  • Participate in analyzing and improving testing processes, leading initiatives for QA enhancements
  • Lead or participate in performance and security testing activities, assessing system scalability and security vulnerabilities
  • Manage and maintain complex test environments that simulate production conditions, implementing automation and optimization strategies
  • Support team collaboration through knowledge sharing, mentoring junior QA engineers, and developing training materials
